During the course of building OpenWord, we were aware of the high gas prices and the massive amount of power used by the process of minting NFTs on Ethereum. To solve these drawbacks, we plan to start using Polygon, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Solana, and other similar blockchains with more affordable fees and a less detrimental impact on the environment in terms of power use.
